Boots
Working with Boots Retail International our design team were given the task of designing a 'look and feel' merchandising kit to bolt onto an American system designed by LA Darling.
From a technical perspective this involved a high specification brief which included a requirement to model and construct a full size, 4 bay gondola display and gondola end components which involved metal & timber fabrication, illuminated shelving (110v) with hand, model-made moving extrusions, replica aluminium extrusions and rapid prototype STLs of all the injection moulded components. We also used 20mm CNC polypropylene in the header arrangements in order to ensure optimum stability in line with the manufacturing process.
All this was achieved whilst saving on prototype costs.

These units were value engineered by our designer undertook vital liaison work with the Boots team based in the USA in order to ensure the achievement of a seamless transition from prototype to production. The entire project from commencement to sign off took a mere three weeks. |
